Newborn Photography has changed so much in the past couple years.  As a photographer who has specialized in maternity and newborn portraits, I have definitely developed a certain style.  I don’t use a ton of props in my work – certainly not the elaborate set-ups many photographers are known for.  What I aim to create in each session is a sense of timelessness.  Classic portraits that won’t look dated over time.  Here is sweet little Camden – a beautiful example of a fine art newborn portrait.

Viewing a little baby as an art subject – a model – is key.

Seeing each little finger, eyelash, and strand of hair as the miracle it is.

It is finding simple ways to guide the viewer to feel the awe of the beginning of a new life.

 

Generally, I don’t create black and white images on newborns – but I couldn’t help myself with this set-up.  His little features just are so perfect!

Absolutely beautiful boy.  They change so much, so quickly.  This stage is only here for a couple weeks.  Capturing your child beautifully is so important – it commemorates this everyday miracle.  It deserves to be on your walls and in your home.
