One Month Old Baby Boy – Frisco Baby Photographer – CLJ Photography

For 10 years, I have been working with your little babies.  Seriously hundreds, possibly thousands of babies.  Being experienced, I understand most newborns are best photographed within a two week time frame. But often, I receive an email from a new mother who, for one reason or another, has an older baby and is hoping they can still get those desirable “newborn” portraits.

The answer is always YES.  Of course, I will photograph your baby.

Every mother deserves to have beautiful images of her little one.

The thought of turning these sweet women away just breaks my heart.  Over the years I have photographed many “older” newborns, including my own little baby at six months old!   But most, have been 3-6 weeks of age.

This little man was 4 weeks old when he came to my studio.  And honestly, one of the best babies I have worked with!  Slept nearly the entire time.

Most newborn sessions should be scheduled 7-14 days, roughly, after birth.  Their bodies are still used to being curled up, similar to being in the womb.  They are less aware of me posing them and wrapping them but they have a “newness” about them that only the first week or two of life shows.   Booking for a newborn session should be done in your second trimester.

Can you believe the cheeks on this little dude?!?  So precious!  And we were done in just an hour and a half which is completely amazing.  Most newborn sessions are between 2-3 hours in length.

Of course, at the end, little Luca woke up and was very skeptical of all the going-on in the studio.  Best baby expression by far!
