Expecting Moms – See Yourself – Frisco Photographer

I want to challenge every expecting Mother to see yourself.  I get it.  You are pregnant.  You live in yoga pants or sweats.  Your hair in in a ponytail 9 times out of 10.  Ask yourself if one of these applies to you…

• “Maternity photography is not for me.”
• “I am uncomfortable in my skin right now.”
• “I just don’t feel glamorous.”
• “There is nothing in my closet to wear.”
• “I’m not skinny”

“Maternity photography is not for me.”

I am not a girly, girl.  I am really not.  Most days, I don’t wear make-up.  I am a t-shirt and jeans, kind of girl.  Seriously.  I am not glamorous.  When I was a child I dressed up all the time though.  I loved it. It was fun.  I also climbed trees and scuffed my knees.  Coming to my studio and trying on a bunch of gowns is FUN.  Bring a girlfriend or sister.  Make a day out of it.  Just for fun.  But here’s the second part…my Mom is the same as me.  Tshirt and jeans, not really much make-up.  Dressing up and feeling glamorous is not her.  I love who she is.  But I would LOVE to have a picture of her pregnant with me.  I don’t have one.  Maternity photography is not for you?  Absolutely, probably…but what about for your kids?

“I’m uncomfortable in my skin right now.”

Yup. We all are.  I promise you.  Skinny, curvy, and everywhere in between.  But I pose you and mold your body into flattering angles and poses.  So much time and energy has been in educating myself how to pose women.  I promise you I will photograph you and you will love the way you look.  And here’s the deal…you do not have to show your belly.  Our studio has plenty of gowns to cover up those areas you’d rather not remember!

 “I just don’t feel glamorous.”

I LOVE this one!  Because this is why you are hiring me!!  I got your back.  I will do your hair and make-up and give you gorgeous gowns to wear and you will feel glamorous!  Or, let’s go for a softer look.  Maybe glamorous isn’t your deal. There are so many ways and styles I can photograph you.

“There is nothing in my closet to wear.”

Yeeeeah…I have lots for you to wear.  Seriously, my gown collection is huge and grows all the time.  I definitely have the right gown waiting for you.  Let’s schedule a studio visit and you can come and try on a bunch and see how you look.

“I’m not skinny.”

We all feel this way – any shape or size body.  We all don’t like our arms, thighs, butts.  Trust me.  But I KNOW how to make you look amazing.  When I say I know how to pose you – what I mean is – I learn from top photographers from all over the world.  Fashion photographers, luxury photographers, photographers who know how to pose and create shape on every woman.  I learn constantly and will pose you through the whole session.

 

Ok so you’re still just not sure.   I get it.  It’s money to spend and “what if” you aren’t happy or don’t want them/don’t like them.

So here’s the challenge:

Just do them.  I give you my guarantee.  It’s this – there is no obligation.  You buy what you love.  If you don’t love them – don’t buy them.

Every mom who falls under the category of “I’m just not sure if I want to do them because…” needs to TRY them.  I KNOW when you see them, you will love them.
