You probably found me on instagram and maybe wondered about my profile name – “the Babymoon Photographer”.
What is a “Babymoon”?
As maternity photography becomes more mainstream, going on your “BabyMoon” is also growing in popularity. A babymoon is a vacation booked in your second or third trimester and a time to reconnect with your spouse or partner before your little baby arrives. Sometimes, these Babymoons are just a weekend getaway. For other couples, these can be a “bucket list” or “one in a lifetime” experience.

What is “the Babymoon Photographer”?
Me. Your one and only. I am THE Babymoon Photographer.
During your second trimester, the morning sickness is gone and most couples are getting away to somewhere dreamy. It’s feeding the youth and wanderlust one more time and living out your adventure and your story to the fullest. And, because these moments in our lives are so pivotal, remembering them, capturing them is important.
It’s the equivalent of the elopement photographer. And just the same as an elopement photographer, it is my job to make sure the portraits from these are everything you dream and envision.

The pregnancy struggles…
Traveling can be a bit harder when you are pregnant. There are a lot more details to take into consideration! For example, hospitals and doctors in the area that might be able to help, if needed. Areas with diseases or viruses, such as the ZIKA virus.
Additionally, finding a photographer might be harder in foreign places if you are planning on a photo shoot at your destination. If the language is a barrier, then communication might be hard. Or simply finding the right person you can trust to take the beautiful images you so much desire. Especially when you are pregnant, these moments are once in a lifetime.
The benefits…
Traveling with a photographer you trust is a warm blanket. One less thing to worry about and stress over. We have gowns to choose from and bring them along. We scout out the perfect spot and cater only to you and your family. You don’t need to communicate with someone in a different country once you leave. Not only that, most hotel photographers are amateurs or simply “a person hired to do a job”.
Babymoon Photography is definitely one of our more “luxury offerings”. But my goal is simple – I want the best for my clients and guarantee the best images possible, in the most beautiful places.

If you are planning your babymoon, or hoping to plan your babymoon soon, consider if you want to capture these moments in a top quality way. I promise you don’t want “just a selfie” in front of the Eiffel tower! You want an amazing shot that you can have as a statement piece in your home. You want your friends and family to literally utter the word “WOW” when they see your portaits.
