We LOVE family maternity portrait sessions! It is special when an expecting Mommy comes into my studio to be photographed. (Being photographed while pregnant can be difficult for many women dealing with extra weight and swelling.) . Bringing the whole family to join the portrait session can easily bring out the best emotions and expressions. It shows the dynamics of relationships and highlights the role change for all members.
Sometimes our portrait studio can feel overwhelming and scary to little children. We recommend bringing them along, if possible, to your consultation and gown fitting. We can begin to build a relationship with your little ones early. Anything to help them feel more comfortable.
Don’t forget – we also carry little girl dresses to help with wardrobe options! Taking a lot of the stress off of Mom is one of our main goals. Trust me, every mother stresses about pictures.
Do you see the way these kids look at Mom? You want to remember these moments. We know, we love them too. The goofiness and squishes are the best parts of life.
