BabyMoon Giveaway

Earlier this year, I wanted to do something big! I held a contest locally for a giveaway. But it wasn’t for just a maternity session – it was for a BabyMoon Destination Maternity Session! It all ended up happening so fast and I am finally getting around to sharing the images with you!

Tawna, the winner of the contest, was actually a friend of mine (which was kind of cool!) and this was her 7th baby. She had never done a maternity session with any of her previous kiddos so it made celebrating this last little boy even more special!

She was 36 weeks when I announced the winner on that Monday morning. 36 weeks. No time to spare! We booked everything, tried on gowns during that week and flew out to California by Friday! (A quick vacay to California, btw, surprising affordable! A part two of this blog post later!)

It was so nice to get away from the cold in Texas and the bleak landscape. It filled my soul with fresh air and the change that feels so good with wandering. It was a perfect little babymoon for this couple.

So, what was even more awesome about this whole experience – the Dad, Patrick, grew up literally 20 mins away and they got to drive around and see his old stomping grounds. Plus walking around the shopping district at Manhattan Beach was so much fun.

After a day of walking the beach, shopping and eating good food, it was time to get our pamper on!

And it turned COLD! And super windy!

The results though…

Bare feet, wind-blown hair, salty skin and the waves rolling in…I can’t NOT love it.

But it was special for me to be able to give this experience to someone. To a mom who maybe doesn’t get time to herself. Or a dad who works really hard to give his family the life they want. This was special.
