Mothers have a demanding job.
There are moments nobody wants to remember. Mothers will clean up throw up at 3am because our 3 year old is sick but will still wake up at 6am to make breakfast. We hold our babies at 2am and 4am and 6am and go without showers for days hoping nobody notices. Mothers quietly deal with colicky babies and cry because we just want a break. We wear pajamas all day long or maybe the shirt we wore yesterday is still worn today. Only then do we realize, there is baby food all over our shirt and it may have been there awhile. We all feel unglamorous at times.
But Mothers also have the most rewarding job in the world.
Motherhood is a calling with incredible joys and unconditional love. It is a divine calling. It is a woman becoming a creator of life. How amazing is it when two people’s love creates a new human! Becoming a parent changes you in every way.It teaches you to love harder than you think you can. And there is nothing more amazing than watching your children grow and learn. The love a child gives you, the first time your baby says “I love you”. These little moments are the glue of our everyday.
